Niat Nonton Festival Pegon, Pasutri di Jember Tabrak Ranting Pohon, Suami Tewas di Tempat

JEMBER – Sepasang suami istri Masdar (40) dan Yuniati (37) warga Dusun Sumberan, Desa Karanganyar, Kecamatan Ambulu, Jember harus mengalami nasib sial usai keduanya terlibat kecelakaan tunggal saat hendak nonton Festival Pegon di Pantai Watu Ulo.

Keduanya mengalami kecelakaan di Jalan Raya Ambulu-Watu Ulo tepatnya Desa Karanganyar, Kecamatan Ambulu, Jember pada Minggu (21/04/2024) sekitar pukul 11.30 WIB siang.

Kapolsek Ambulu, AKP Tanto Renggama mengatakan, motor Beat dengan plat nomor P 3778 JI yang ditunggangi oleh pasutri tersebut menabrak ranting pohon trembesi yang patah. Akibatnya, pasutri tersebut terpental hingga terjatuh.

“Untuk korban atas nama Masdar ini langsung meninggal dunia di lokasi kejadian karena mengalami benturan yang cukup keras. Sedangkan untuk istrinya atas nama Yuniati, hanya mengalami luka ringan dan dibawa ke Puskesmas Ambulu untuk mendapat perawatan,” ujar Tanto pada wartawan, Minggu (21/04/2024) sore.

Lebih lanjut, Tanto mengatakan, saat itu korban dengan istrinya tengah berboncengan dan bermaksud untuk menonton Festival Tahunan Pegon di Pantai Watu Ulo.

“Namun saat tiba di lokasi kejadian, ada batang pohon kering yang patah dan jatuh menimpa pasutri itu. Selain itu, di lokasi kejadian juga sedang terjadi angin yang cukup kencang,” paparnya.

“Saat itu korban kaget, lalu banting setir ke kiri untuk menghindari batang pohon itu. Ketika berusaha menghindar itulah, korban menabrak batang pohon di bagian kiri jalan hingga terjatuh,” sambung Tanto.

Tanto mengungkapkan, berdasarkan keterangan saksi yang ia peroleh, korban saat itu berkendara dengan kecepatan yang cukup rendah.

“Tapi karena kaget ada batang pohon patah, ditambah lagi jarak yang terlalu dekat akhirnya kecelakaan tak bisa dihindari. Korban terkena benturan cukup keras dan terpental ke arah depan. Sepertinya luka yang dialami korban adalah luka dalam, nanti akan didalami oleh pemeriksaan dari tim medis,” ucapnya.

Usai kejadian, lanjut Tanto, masyarakat datang berbondong-bondong untuk menolong korban, dibantu oleh Kepolisian dan anggota Koramil Ambulu untuk segera dibawa ke Puskesmas Ambulu.

“Saat di Puskesmas, korban sebenarnya masih sempat mendapat pertolongan. Tapi mungkin karena luka dalam, korban ini meninggal setibanya di puskesmas. Istrinya luka ringan dan mendapat perawatan di puskesmas,” ujarnya.

Atas kejadian tersebut, pihak keluarga menerima dan mengikhlaskan korban, karena memang murni meninggal karena kecelakaan.

Saat ini jenazah korban telah diserahkan pada pihak keluarga untuk segera dimakamkan.
