JEMBER – Bupati pertahana Kabupaten Jember, Hendy Siswanto dipastikan kembali maju pada kontestasi pilkada serentak yang akan digelar pada bulan November 2024 mendatang. Hal tersebut tak lepas dari pendaftaran dirinya sebagai Bakal Calon Bupati (Bacabup) melalui Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP) pada Senin (22/04/2024) sore.
Bertempat di Kantor DPC PDIP, Jalan Slamet Riyadi, Kelurahan Baratan, Kecamatan Patrang, Jember, Hendy datang sekitar pukul 16.00 WIB bersama keluarga besarnya untuk mendaftarkan diri menjadi Bacabup Jember periode tahun 2024-2029.
Saat sesi wawancara bersama wartawan, Hendy sempat menceritakan kilas balik dirinya saat pertama kali hendak maju sebagai calon bupati pada tahun 2019 silam.
“Dulu tahun 2019 saat akan maju sebagai calon bupati di periode pertama, PDIP adalah tempat saya pertama kali belajar berpolitik. Itu juga tak lepas dari mas Arief Wibowo selaku ketua DPC PDIP Jember yang mengajari saya. Untuk itu sekarang kita akan maju lagi dan mendaftar melalui PDIP,” seru Hendy Siswanto saat ditemui di Kantor DPC PDIP Jember.
Hendy berkata bahwa, saat dirinya mendaftar calon bupati melalui PDIP saat periode pertama dulu, ia sangat menyayangkan karena tidak berjodoh. Saat ini, Hendy kembali datang bersama keluarga besarnya, dan berharap agar PDIP mau memberikan rekomendasi pada dirinya.
“Dulu setelah saya ikuti prosesnya sampai ke Surabaya, memang saya dan PDIP nggak berjodoh. Ya semoga untuk sekarang, PDIP bisa memberikan rekomendasi pada kami dan kita bisa berjodoh untuk sama-sama membangun Jember,” paparnya.
Selain itu, ketika ditanya soal calon wakil bupati yang akan mendampinginya menuju ke panggung kontestasi, Hendy masih belum memberikan jawaban yang pasti.
“Kalau sekarang ya wakil bupati tetap Gus Firjaun. Kedepan kita nggak tahu siapa yang akan menjadi cawabup. Karena ini kan daftarnya satu-satu, calon bupati sendiri dan calon wakil bupati sendiri. Jadi ya, kalau terkait itu kami belum bisa memastikan,” bebernya.
“Kalau Gus Firjaun akan maju lagi atau tidak, kami juga belum tahu, karena beliau juga harus berkonsultasi dan memohon restu pada para kyai-kyai,” sambungnya.
Bupati Jember yang baru menjabat selama 3 tahun 2 bulan itu juga mengatakan, saat ini programnya sebagai bupati masih belum tuntas. Maka dari itu, lanjut Hendy, periode kedua akan menjadi ajang dirinya untuk menuntaskan seluruh program yang sudah dicanangkan sejak dirinya dilantik menjadi bupati pada tahun 2021 silam.
Sementara itu, Ketua Tim Penjaringan DPC PDIP Jember, Edy Cahyo Purnomo mengatakan, pihaknya hingga saat ini telah menerima 2 nama yang datang dan mengambil formulir untuk mendaftar menjadi Bacabup.
“Hari ini sementara ada 2 nama yang sudah mengambil formulir pendaftaran, ada Hendy Siswanto bupati pertahana, lalu satu lagi ada H Nanang Handono Prasetyo,” bebernya.
Edy menyebut, pihaknya juga akan berkoordinasi dengan partai-partai lain terkait kontestasi Pilkada mendatang, serta menentukan siapa calon yang akan diberi rekomendasi.
“Disini siapapun boleh mendaftar, tentunya kita juga koordinasikan dengan parpol lainnya. Kalau masalah rekomendasi, itu kita turunkan bukan berdasarkan popularitas tokoh, melainkan siapa yang mampu bersama-sama membangun Jember dan memberikan yang terbaik untuk masyarakat,” pungkasnya.
