JEMBER – Sebuah video viral beredar yang menampilkan aksi sekelompok relawan gabungan BPBD barat daya yang sedang mengimbau para wisatawan di Pantai Paseban, Kecamatan Kencong, Jember.
Video berdurasi 18 detik tersebut menunjukkan relawan menggunakan kantong jenazah sambil memberikan edukasi kepada ribuan pengunjung pantai.
Relawan melakukan aksi tersebut untuk mencegah terjadinya insiden yang berpotensi fatal.
Seperti halnya kejadian sebelumnya, di mana seorang wisatawan tenggelam dan meninggal dunia selama liburan di pantai.
Dalam video tersebut, Viky Satria, salah seorang relawan dari Barat Daya BPBD Jember, menjelaskan alasan di balik tindakan ekstrem mereka.
Aksi tersebut merupakan bentuk kepedulian terhadap keselamatan para wisatawan.
Namun sayangnya wisatawan tidak mengindahkan imbauan para relawan untuk tidak berenang di pantai.
“Oleh karena itu, kami sebagai relawan gabungan dari berbagai unsur memutuskan untuk menggunakan kantong jenazah agar mereka merasa takut,” ungkap Viky Satria.
Selain itu, Viky juga menegaskan bahwa imbauan yang menakutkan ini demi menyelamatkan masyarakat dan para pengunjung.
Relawan tidak ingin menjadi korban ombak ganas lagi di pantai selatan yang ombaknya saat ini sangat berbahaya.
Apalagi jumlah pengunjung pantai membeludak, bahkan mencapai sekitar 10 ribu orang lebih.
“Meski lelah, tim relawan gabungan akan terus melakukannya sampai semua masyarakat aman dan pantai kembali sepi pengunjung,” tegas Viky.
Di sisi lain, salah seorang pengunjung pantai Paseban, Danny Sihasale, asal Kabupaten Probolinggo, mengungkapkan rasa terima kasihnya atas upaya perlindungan dari para relawan.
“Bagi saya dan keluarga, kami lebih baik tidak berenang karena kondisi ombaknya sangat besar dan berbahaya,” jelasnya.
Meskipun demikian, kondisi pantai Paseban hingga sore ini masih ramai pengunjung, dan diperkirakan keramaian ini akan berlanjut hingga malam hari dan besok siang.
