JEMBER – BPBD Kabupaten Jember telah melakukan berbagai upaya dalam menjaga keselamatan wisatawan, terutama di kawasan pantai selatan.
Salah satu upayanya yakni mengimbau wisatawan untuk tidak mandi di pantai selatan melalui banner yang terpajang di area wisata.
Sosialisasi dan imbauan tersebut telah mereka lakukan sejak jauh-jauh hari sebelum libur lebaran Idulfitri 1445 Hijriah, yakni 6 April 2024.
Selain melakukan imbauan, BPBD juga terus melakukan penguatan pos-pos siaga, mulai Pantai Paseban hingga Payangan.
Berdasarkan pengamatan BPBD Jember, wisatawan mulai berdatangan sejak H + 2 Hari Raya Idulfitri.
“Sekali lagi, kami imbau kepada wisatawan pantai untuk tidak bermain air atau berenang di sepanjang pantai dan untuk tetap mewaspadai update cuaca melalui lanal info BMKG dan InaRISK Personal,” ucap Kepala BPBD Jember melalui Wakil Manajer Pusdalops BPBD Jember, Penta Satria.
Di sisi lain, Kapolsek Kencong, Iptu Heru Siswanto, juga mengatakan hal senada.
Dia juga mengimbau wisatawan untuk tidak mandi di pantai selatan, mengingat gelombang ombak cukup tinggi.
“Kondisi sekarang ombak antara 2 – 3 meter di pesisir pantai selatan Jember,” ucap Iptu Heru.
Sejak kemarin, Jumat (12/4/2024), petugas gabungan dari unsur TNI, Polri, Relawan, dan masyarakat memperketat penjagaan di kawasan Pantai Selatan, terutama Pantai Paseban Kencong.
“Itu demi keselamatan kita semua,” ucap Iptu Heru Siswanto usai gelar Apel di Pos Pantau Wisata Paseban.
